  • Here is a rundown on the Mustangs that are competing in the race this year. Team Fruin & Henderson is from Alabama. Mallory used to compete in this car with her father. After her father passed away, she took a break from racing. She's now in the race with her fiance.

  • Team Kaplan in their 1966 Mustang. Erin has a great website that documents their rally (MissHathawaysGreatRace.com). Erin and Brad are out of California.

  • Team Gilligan in their 1966 Hertz Fastback. I don't know the details on this team but I saw them leave last night to do some work on their brakes.

  • A father and daughter team from Japan are in this 1966 Mustang.

  • 1969 Mustang Boss 302. This is a rookie team out of Florida.

  • We frequently get mistaken for this black 1968 Mustang. This team is currently competing in the Expert class and does very well despite Mustangs being considered too young to receive an age factor. Here's an example: our '31 Model A got a factor of .805 multiplied to the score but our '65 Mustang has a factor of 1.0.

  • Team Stars and Stripes - Trevor Stahl and guest driver, Jim Menneto, former publisher of Hemmings Motor News.

  • I thought this battery powered fan was really going to do the trick. Unfortunately, the demand was too much for this tiny baby stroller accessory.
